AIR SERVICE INCENTIVE PROGRAM

As part of its commitment to growing passenger air service between STL and both domestic and international markets, STL has established an Air Service Incentive Program that reduces new market start-up and operating costs for airlines that initiate or grow service. Please refer to the Air Service Incentive Program for full details.

MARKETING INCENTIVES

I.  Marketing Support Program

STL's Marketing Support Program awards advertising funds to airlines that initiate or add service at STL.  Funding is also made available to eligible vacation packagers (Apple Vacations, Funjet, etc.) that offer regularly scheduled service on at least a seasonal basis.

These funds, which must be spent solely on the promotion of each air carrier/packager’s STL service, can be spent on a wide variety of media, including but not limited to, the following:

•  Television, radio or printing
•  Billboard signage
•  Sports team or event sponsorships
•  Internet advertising (banner ads, social media campaigns, etc.)

Allocations are generally awarded based on the following service additions:

•  Domestic service added: $5,000.00 per market
•  New entrants: $30,000.00-$50,000.00, depending on availability of funds
•  New international service: $30,000.00-$50,000.00, depending on availability of funds

II.  Air Service Partnership Program

Cape Air and Air Choice One currently provide government subsidized Essential Air Service (EAS) to STL from a number of outlying communities in Missouri and neighboring states.  The Air Service Partnership Program strives to increase public awareness of these flights in the communities in which EAS to STL is offered.  Each airport with EAS service to STL is annually awarded $5,000.00 in marketing funds for the promotion of its commercial air service to STL within its community.

These funds, which must be spent solely on the promotion of each airport’s STL service, can be spent on a wide variety of media, including but not limited to, the following:

•

Television, radio, or print advertising
•  Billboard Signage
Sports team or event sponsorships
•  Internet advertising (banner ads, social media campaigns, etc.)

III.  Clear Channel Radio Program

Each year, as part of an ongoing partnership with Clear Channel Radio in Saint Louis, STL offers $100,000.00 in local Clear Channel radio time to eligible airlines for the promotion of their STL service in the Saint Louis market.  Funding is also made available to eligible vacation packagers (Apple Vacations, Funjet, etc.) that offer regularly scheduled STL service on at least a seasonal basis.

Allocations range from $5,000.00 to $20,000.00, with a yearly maximum of $25,000.00 per recipient.  Allocations are awarded based on the following service additions:

•  Domestic service added: $5,000.00 per market
•  New entrants: $20,000.00
•  New intenational service: $20,000.00
